With the 2008 Beijing olympics now over, it is time to look at how our beloved African countries did!

The Africans have shown a very good start at the Beijing olympics so far with Algerian Soraya Haddad winning a bronze medal for the women’s judo game. Kirsty Coventry also grabbed a silver medal for Zimbabwe at the women’s 400 metres individual medley and there she displayed tremendous talent after being the first person to win a medal for the continent and also to win a medal of any colour on the third day of the Olympics.
